I saw one guy asking for a single furnishing to hold 2500 spaces of inventory. Most likely the ones not taking the highest counts are looking at maybe 2k slots at most likely less like 1500 slots. Second, a mostly maxed 12 char set has 2600+ inventory slots avail. Ok so first,to be clear, they said the reason that storage did not make the cut for inclusion day one in housing was that it wasn't integral to the basic nuts and bolts operations of housing - making, placing, buying etc - and that two different metrics (players who have maxed all storage options/active players who have upgraded any storage) told them it did not need to be as high a priority as other things they did include. I too use nearly all of my character slots to store extra equipment. Terrible idea not to include more storage options with housing. When you start seeing how many luggage toons there are, you can see that housing definitely NEEDS inventory space. But, I would rather be able to store armor sets in wardrobes and trunks in my houses. This was cheaper than buying bank space or bag space. I have paid real money to make these toons as mules with the extra character slot option. I also have a toon that does nothing but hold jewelry. I have a toon that does nothing but hold monster helms. The second reason, and the biggest reason to have housing inventory space, is to allow compartmentalization. People generally just start another toon when the in game gold cost gets to around 70,000 for ten slots. Number one, it is too expensive to pay to level up all your toons to max inventory space. ZOS said that the reason that they did not add inventory slots in the housing was because people tend not to max out their available inventory slots in game.Īfter talking to friends about this, I discovered two reasons why. Inventory management just got even more challenging in ESO because of furniture.
